  After spending a week in a wonderful villa we were given the option to spend our final day in the Hotel Palia Puerto del Sol for a small fee whilst waiting for our flights. Although this did give us access to the pool and WiFi, as well as all-inclusive for the day, I was still a little disappointed, primarily due to the food. We arrived a little after 10:30 and so decided to wait for the lunch buffet rather than having a late breakfast, but all that was available at the bar buffet were hotdogs and burgers that looked and tasted rather anemic, alongside chips and croquettes. Most of my group opted to wait for the full restaurant at 1:30, however I had a burger and hotdog and drowned them with tomato sauce and mustard to add flavour, as I hadn't eaten yet. I'm glad I did as when we went to the main restaurant the food wasn't the best either, I made a small salad and added 2 slices of fish but the fish tasted purely of salt and I wasn't able to eat it. I then opted for some chorizo which although edible, was definitely not chorizo. The desserts were ok though so we filled up on ice cream and small cakes. Despite not enjoying the food, I will say that the location of the hotel is excellent as it is placed right by the marina where there are some excellent bars and restaurants and is only a 30 minute walk from each of the 2 nearby town centres. The bar by the pool was alright and the pool was big enough to allow most people to relax, however the beds were strewn everywhere and there was very little shade. Not bad for myself, but parents with young children may want to consider that. All in all, for the little we paid, it was worth it for the drinks a pool whilst waiting for the flight home, however I would not consider spending more than a day there.

  This is the worst hotel I have ever seen and stayed in and I've only been hear 1 hour the rooms don't have air conditioning and everything stinks of damp.. I have ask to change rooms but won't let me. Tv don't work and room is badly dirty.. all I'm saying is bed buds I was eaten a live my kids were to.. and I've got the photo to prove it plus all my blood over the bed sheets...
